Denver Nationals were founded in 2011 by Sifu Tony Timmer. It quickly became the premier Chinese martial arts tournament in the Rocky Mountain Region. The goal is to bring like minded martial artists together to compete, share ideas, and push themselves to grow in their practice.
Last year was the best yet, and we are listening to your feedback, and improving things this year! We will be returning to the Auraria campus, and their fantastic facilities! We look forward to seeing everyone out again!
Registration will open soon. For any questions, reach out to us at [email protected].
ABOUT USA SHAOLIN OPEN
The USA Shaolin Open (USASO) is a premier martial arts platform dedicated to advancing the practice, performance, and preservation of traditional Chinese Kung Fu. What began as a competitive tournament has grown into a multi-dimensional organization that brings together athletes, coaches, and practitioners from across the country.
At its core, USASO hosts a national-level martial arts tournament, providing a stage for competitors to showcase skill, discipline, and dedication to the art. In addition, USASO operates an expanding seminar series, offering opportunities for education, skill development, and the sharing of knowledge across styles and generations.
Supporting and leading these efforts is the USASO Professional Kung Fu Team—a select group of skilled martial artists who represent the organization through high-level performance, demonstrations, and leadership within the martial arts community. The team not only exemplifies technical excellence, but also upholds the values of tradition, respect, and continuous growth.
Together, the tournament, seminar series, and professional team form a unified platform committed to competition, education, and community. The USA Shaolin Open continues to build opportunities for martial artists while honoring the legacy and spirit of Kung Fu for the next generation.
